Headset: Your instructional flight includes a two-way intercom system (headsets), enabling easy communication between student and instructor.
Jacket: A jacket is available should you get cold. Higher altitudes usually mean colder weather. Learn the basics of flight control, aerodynamics, and aviation safety, as well as the weather and its effects on aviation.

Is it safe?

The modern Gyroplane is one of the safest aircraft, designed with inherent stability and reliability. We operate state-of-the-art machines that are meticulously maintained to ensure top performance. During flights, we maintain sufficient altitude to glide safely to a landing area in the unlikely event of an emergency. Every flight is guided by an experienced FAA-certified instructor, giving you peace of mind as you take to the skies. And since we’re fair-weather flyers, you can count on ideal conditions for your adventure.
Is there a weight limit?

The weight limit is around 250 lbs., please call to discuss your situation and the possibility of flying.
What is your weather policy?

At the Dillingham Airfield we have about 350 flyable days a year. On your way to the North Shore you may experience some rain, it will most likely still be nice at the airport itself! The wind is very consistent and generally blows around 15-20 knots…perfect wind for flying! Also, be aware that if we experience a short weather delay anytime during our daily schedule, it can delay your lesson time as well.
What happens if the engine quits?

The AutoGyro will vertically descend like a parachute and will land safely in a small space the size of a tennis court.
