This popular hiking trail takes you past the historic Makapu’u Point Light, where the trail takes its name. This incredible lighthouse has the largest lens of any lighthouse in the United States and is over 100 years old.
Gorgeous coastlines, vibrant greenery, and even the islands of Moloka‘i and Lana‘i are just some of the beautiful sights that await you on this famous trail. The area around Makapu’u Point is also famous for being a prime whale watching location. So, from April until November, be sure to keep an eye open for Humpback whales!
