Our full-service Big Island tour begins with a flight from either Honolulu or Kahului to Hilo. Upon arrival, you'll join your expert local guide and embark on a sightseeing tour filled with scenic stops throughout the day. You'll have the opportunity to witness the grandeur of the Big Island’s volcanoes, the historic charm of Hilo town, and the sheer beauty of the rainforest waterfalls.
This tour includes a visit to the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, where you'll explore the landscape's fascinating features like volcanic craters, lava tubes, and steam vents. A visit to the Kilauea Visitor Center presents park updates and educational displays, providing context and insight into the 2018 eruption that significantly changed the island’s landscape.
One of the key highlights of the tour is a drive down the scenic Chain of Craters Road. This road section was partially covered during the 2018 eruption, making the drive an unforgettable experience. You'll also get the chance to peer into the depths of Halemaumau Crater, which has doubled in size, and observe steam clouds form as groundwater seeps onto hot volcanic rock at the famous Steam Vents.
From the ground, you'll have access to breathtaking views of Rainbow Falls and Kealakomo Overlook where older lava flows melted into the ocean. Finally, your tour day will be capped off with a 45-minute helicopter flight over Volcanoes National Park. Get ready to see tons of volcanic craters and other features that are not visible from the ground.

Pickup & Check In
This tour includes transportation to and from the airport on Oahu from Waikiki. Guests may choose to drive themselves (there is no discount) to the airport for greater flexibility in their schedules. The tour pickup time is about 5 AM at most Waikiki accommodations.
There is an extra charge for pickup outside of the Waikiki area. Please contact us for information and additional costs.
Your tour will be confirmed and pickup times arranged once the flights are secured.
Weight Restrictions
Seating for parties of more than 6, or weighing a combined 1000lbs, will be seated across multiple aircrafts. Please provide accurate body weights as our ability to execute tours depends on this.
Cancellation Policy
Any inter-island tour or Oahu tours originating from the Islands of Maui, Big Island, and Kauai may incur up to $100.00 per person airline change fee (if flights are included in your tour) for any changes to the original booking. Any request for a refund prior to 72 hours will result in a full credit for a future tour and the credit for airline flights is only in reserved names.
Travel Insurance: A cash refund is available on tours with flights when you purchase the travel insurance (available during the booking process) and you have an emergency or had some unforeseen medical issue occur prior to 72 hours to your tour start date. No refunds are issued for any tours canceled or changed (even with insurance) within the 72-hour period, prior to the start of your tour.
